A Projector

If there is one thing you can give to the Philippines, what is that gift?
Tremendous natural disaster happened to our country in the 4th quarter of 2013. Calamity that brings our country to the darkest hours and days particularly in Visayas region.  Total lost and damage to people`s properties, but the most, kills hundred's lives. In a very short period of time,  Pilipinos try to go back in track. Welcoming 2014 with smile and positivity. Full of hope and new dreams.  Stories of courage, bravery, and faith have once again shown in the country, in the face of each individuals.   The Bayanihan attitude has been visible all over the world, not only in the hearts of our kababayan abroad at also to foreign people. I with my friends also able to volunteer in one of the relief operation unit of DSWD. But I know, it was not enough.

I want to give a Projector. Projector that portrays light in darkness to project images.  Images of inspiration and hope that can be projected to the eyes of every Filipinos. But Philippines is too big for me, perhaps, I could start it in my own community. The Projector will serve as a tool in educating people especially new generations. This will help them made  learning more fun and can be enjoy. This way, it my be an instrument, for our new generation could have a quality education that is very essential to our country to be more competitive as we go for development.
Two years ago, little advocacy were started in our Elementary school in Benguet Gubat Sorsogon. To share the blessing that God has given and give back to Alma mater and also it`s a way of saying  thank you to the gift of life. During the first year, reading books been shared, that pupils my enjoy reading during their past time.  Also to influence kids to have a habits of reading. And for last year, educational flash cards and puzzles, that could helps teachers conducting their lessons, in a way that kids could really participate.

Most schools here in Manila and Cities in provinces have at least one set of computer or more, but not all have their own projector. In small school like ours, we don't have a set of computer, pupils just know it thru books and television. But, we're lucky enough, last summer we're working on looking for sponsor, and I really thank God for giving us one person to donate one laptop. He really had a kind heart and generosity. Last April 30, 2013 during alumni night I handed the laptop to the teachers. Happiness couldn't be measured. But sad to say, few months after, our anonymous sponsor passed away due to some illness. He may not lived long, others may not know what kindness and goodness he shared, still  there is someone not being named that will always thought of and be an inspiration to all.

For this year, like #GLOBEProjectWoderful2014.  I really look forward that this advocacy may able to continue for project 2014. And it would be great and I would really appreciate if #Globe would be an sponsor and be able to collaborate with their projects.
Our Benguet Elementary School is Multi-grade School, we only have three classroom, where in two grade level are combined and being handed by one teacher. As one the the Alumni, I really want to help uplift the quality of education in our school. Inspire kids to commit to their studies and believe how important education is. I want them yo see the light of being successful. I want to project to their senses how good it was if you have achieved something for yourself, not only that, the feeling of being able to help your family and being able to share to reach out other people.
If one, two or three people, be able to share and give something to their community in their own little way, how much more if all of us can can do that, which I think not impossible. For sure Philippines will project lights that will illuminates throughout  the world. Best gift that our country could have.
You Folks, what you can give to the Philippines? it`s time to share and give back to our country.  My comments box is free to what ever tiny bits you have. For big things always starts with small beginnings.
